kubota bx 2370-1
So I'm having some problems with my new bx 2370-1. First problem is that it won't start which is likely from a safety switch and I think I am going to try to solve this over the phone with a Kubota tech. Hopefully I can get that figured out with him.

I am more interested in asking about the other problem I ran into
Second problem is that somehow the loader pistons are of unequal length on each side. Not sure how I did that. When I go again to hook up the loader I will probably only be able to hook up on one side since the other side is shorter. Has anyone ever had this happen and what is the fix?

Thank you in advance.

No doubt its a safety switch issue. PTO lever completely disengaged, seat safety switch, sit on tractor while starting. tractor in neutral.??? Cylinder being shorter then other ??? did you know that when removing and installing the loader that when you use the joy stick lever to move the arms out of the way that one cylinder will move in or out before the other one does. Read your manual on how to install and remove your loader I'am sure you'll figure out how it works etc:

I didn't know one cylinder moves out faster than the other. This is the first time this has happened. I'll try to attach some picures. I wasn't sure if that is a problem or not. It will just be hard/different to put the loader back on when only being able to attach one side first DSCN0255.JPGDSCN0256.JPG

Just drive into the loader, they will equalize. You can probably push it back in by hand!!

Haha yes you were right. I was able to push it back in. Thank you, I have much to learn ha.

Now if I can only solve the presumably safety switch problem.

Does anyone know how many safety switches there are? I know about the PTO one, the HST pedal one, and it appears there is a safety switch inside the seat. I read somewhere that there are 2 switches for the seat.

I have disengaged the PTO, sit on the seat and have tried moving the HST pedal some. It started a couple times when I was bouncing on the seat and moving the PTO lever back and forth, but I'm unable to start it again.

Time to grab a volt meter and do some testing.......Look under the machine and see where the switches are. Then follow the wires and find out where you lose power.

Pretty basic troubleshooting stuff.

Also check the wiring to each safety switch. I had an issue with starting on my B2400 and found corrosion at the clutch safety switch. I cleaned it and gave it a liberal dose of dielectric grease..no more problems!

Loader piston thing solved of course. Mine is often unequal when taken off and goes right back by hand. The other issue about starting: you said new ? If this is really a new machine (as opposed to just being new to you) for heaven's sake have the dealer sort out why it won't start.

Yeah I am probably going to call the dealer and have them fix it. I've never used a voltmeter/multimeter and I wouldn't want to do any damage to the switches. A couple of the safety switches look like they would be really hard to get to like the HST switch and the seat switch.

I can't get the MMM off to look up under the tractor to try to see the HST switch. I would need to be able to start the tractor, raise the MMM and turn the height control dial to a lower setting in order to take it off. I thought about trying to use jacks on either side of the MMM to try to raise it up but not sure that would even work.

Just frustrating to have a one month old tractor not starting.

The battery is good so it most likely is a safety switch but I think the dealer will have to fix it.
