Servicing the M7040 today and decided to check the torque on the loader mount bolts on the LA1153. I found four bolts were loose. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. I had checked these bolts previously within the last year and they were fine. According to the service manual they should be checked on a 50 hour interval so I'll be sure to check mine more often.

Check the lug bolts at the same time.

Very common. Good you caught it before damage occurred!! I check mine often. Caught them loose on my B2920 during the first check. On my L3200, they were still all tight at 50 hrs.

I'll have to check the 7040 and 2920 next chance I get... It is easy enough to do.

I have never found loose nuts/bolts, anywhere, but I still check everything 2X annually. Its a lot easier & less expensive to check than repair.

This is one of the hardest things (maintenance wise) for me to do because it not on any schedule. For most mechanical things, we don't have to check and retighten/torque fasteners on the machines we have. There is though, I think quite a bit of vibration inherent with tractors that may warrant checking fasteners on them every once in awhile.
