i came across this critter when i was dreaming of an F255D to buy  and thought i would post it as the loader construction is interesting. dont know how rigid it would be left to right? ( PS it looks crappy in green ) or i can buy a brand new 40hp tractor with 4 in 1 and BH for 21k, i know its chinese but still it has a 2 year warranty.

That is interesting. Don't think I have ever seen loader arms out of plate steel before.

I wouldn't touch it to do heavy work with. That thing must flex like crazy! You'll be fixing cracks all the time...

I think it's kind of neat for a home built loader...since it doesn't have the pivot point between the forward and aft loader arms, I think it would lift a pretty good weight...but not very high.

I think a strap across the top of the arms would reduce any flexing.

I haven't seen a compact tractor FEL with loader arms made out of plate steel and agree that they look too thin and unsupported to not have some flex. Plate steels arms are however common in the heavy equipment world and I have used a Komatsu WA200 at work many times w/ plate steels arms and they are extremely rigid and stable. The Komatsu's arms are probably 1" plate and basically designed like the loader arms in the OP's pic. Given the size/scale difference, the Yanmar's arms are probably heavier than the Komatsu's when you consider it is over 10X heavier and powerful.

Forget and make a quick turn with a heavy load and goodbye loader.... it would twist

Certainly is an all bolt together application, with exception of the welded on tabs holding the hydraulic cylinder to the cross member , also noticing all lines are of rubber hoses,
Just curious if this was a Blueprint of a Kit being sold somewhere?
I suppose the weight of it might have factored in on the fabrication, although some times plate steel can weigh more than box steel... and this looks like a good size pc of plate.... a factory build loader in size comparison of this one would weigh roughly 525 lbs. ( allied 95 ) the 195 I have on my tractor weighs 750 lbs.

Never the less an interesting design not doubt,
