I've found with mine if I'm doing a lot of loader work I run the hand throttle up around 1500 RPM. Because backing up is too slow otherwise. Mowing a large pasture is much easier with the cruise control also.

Without the linked pedal and with my non Tier 4 motor I am inclined and encouraged to run at above 2000 rpm for most activities other than PTO related in order to keep the engine running clean. In fact I find 2200 rpm to be a nice sweet spot for the 2610 if your choosing a loader activity setting and not having Linked pedals. Then of course the Hydro does all that increase in forward or reverse activity by the touch of the pedal. Maybe not as fuel efficient but good for the motor. The dealer strongly recommends operation at or above 2000 rpm. Diesels need to run hot and work at those rpm's to keep them clean. It will lengthen your time between regen and on a non regenerated motor keep them cleaner reportedly.
