Did a search and not a lot of information on this welder. Lincoln Arc 225

What are your thoughts on this machine. I'm not made of money, so get this for only $xxxx.00 amount isn't going to work.

I am looking for a basic Arc welder for around what this machine cost, $300+/-. Never TIG welded so not sure I would be interested in that, but if there is an inverter welder that is worthy of mention around same price, I will listen.

What I am going to be using this for. Farm implement repair fabrications, such as ballast box, bucket hooks and other tie off hooks/pins. Angle iron, square, and round tubing for "Stuff".

No expert nor am I going to be building trailers and stuff. Just simple stuff for around the house.

The Lincoln 225 is a good welder for what you are wanting to do. I owned one years ago and it worked great for the type of things your doing.

How would it compare to the Everlast 140ST?

Doesn't the Lincoln Arc 225 take 15-amp jumps? If so, that would drive me crazy!:confused2:
I'd contact Mark with Everlast and see what kind of a deal he can make you on a PowerArc 200ST.

Just PM him? Looking at the information on that welder, looks good except the extra $100. But if it's worth it, I think I could swing a bit more, depends on the "Deal" he can make.

I'm tired of thinking "Wish I had a welder for this or that", it's getting annoying now that I could actually use a welder!

I've had three Everlast welders to date. For the money they have a very impressive arc:cool2:. Here is what the PowerArc 200ST can do with an LN-25 wire feeder with self shielded wire, and 6010.

This is my original buzz box I used for 35 years. Notice the 10 - 20 amp jumps between tapped settings. It never drove ME crazy because I didn't know any better!

Plus 1 ^^ on recommendation to consider Everlast.

Bought the old tombstone Lincoln fresh out of high school. Shop at Dinnerbell Foods had a special price of 99 dollars. Asked the foreman if I could get one. Sure if I had the money. Still have it in the shop today. Even had a helmet.
