Is the RK a diverter valve or do you still retain the first 2 FEL functions?
A true 3rd function, all work.

I stopped by our local RK and they told me it was a diverter. That you could not use the raise/lower function while using it. I looked at one connected to an RK 55. I didnt see it work but was just a single button on bottom of the joystick. I would assume would have to have 2 switches/buttons to operate independently.
Can you please tell he what RK location told you it was a diverter? May have a training opportunity.
Bluefield WV. He said that you lose the raise lower function of the loader while using the 3rd Function and that they do not install it there that he would order me a tractor with it installed that would take 7-10 Business days. Said could not add it to a Tractor on the lot. And quoted it at $839 I believe. Somewhere in the low $800s. Is this not correct? If not how does the 3rd function work?
Also, as far as adding it to a tractor on the lot, their service dept should absolutely be able to add it. What if you had already purchased your tractor and wanted to add it later? You would order the kit and when they got it from their service center you would bring in your tractor and they would install it. So no different from them ordering a kit and installing it on one on the lot. Same should be true if adding a backhoe later or adding a 3rd function thumb for your backhoe later. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that just wouldn't make any sense if you couldn't add things later.
I agree. I was quoted online through someone with rk that exact same price that you were given. Don’t know why local salesman had different numbers. And I still don’t know if it’s a diverter or what.
