lift stoped working

my 3 pt lift quit lifting today,,then i realized i had hit the remote hydraulic lever.... i didnt have any thing hooked up on the remote,,when i put it back in place my lift worked ok for the rest of the day ...do you think i did any damage to any thing ?? thanks for any help...bruce

No you didn't harm anything... the 3pt is typically the last thing in the hydraulic circuit, If you use a loader or aux hydraulic it uses all or most of the hydraulic energy before any gets to the 3pt. KennyV

I grab the wrong (unconnected) remote lever sometimes by mistake and pull/push it. It just lifts the safety bypass valve. As a matter of fact, I have a pressure gage hooked into a quick connect and use it dead-headed in the quick connect to check hydraulic system pressure by pulling the remote lever and watching for the pressure to peak before the relief valve opens. No harm at all. If the remote lever were to stick open, the relief valve might heat up due to the constant flow of fluid, but you'd know there was a problem because the 3PH would not raise as you found on your tractor.
