Hello 'bota brothers, you guys have been a wealth of information and help for us rookies, thank you so much. I read all the posts recommending having skid plates when working in the woods, I meant to get them but apperantly not in time. I was raking some recently cleared area and wouldn't you know it, wham! big branch gets underneath and there goes the fan. I have visited Bro Tek's website and emailed Richard several times and have not heard from him. Is he still in business? where else could a rookie like myself get skid plates, thanks in advanced,

chirobota

So have they figured out a way to change that fan on the BX24 without pulling the engine or transmission???

I haven't received the bill yet from the dealer, from what the tech mentioned it won't be pretty.

I got my skid plate last month. I too noticed he only has a thumb listed now. Sure hope he not having problems, great products and as my tractor allowance :D allows was going to buy more tools.

I was having the fender kit installed and the dealer replaced my broken fan for a 45 minute labor charge. I don't know how he did it, but he sure didn't pull the tranny in 45 minutes. The dealer is Frederick Equipment Company in Maryland. It appears someone in their shop has figured it out. I have heard reports of people paying hundreds of dollars for this repair.

I just got an email quote on a BH75 backhoe thumb and ripper tooth from Richard on Feb. 21st, a day after I sent my email. From what I understand, he's typically quick with a response.

Hopefully, either your email is out of whack, or he's away on vacation. Keep trying to contact him, and keep us posted.

Under $400 delivered to my door, but I don't know if he does a flat rate shipping fee, or does a case by case fee. That price was for standard shipping - to expedite, there was an additional shipping charge.

I haven't ordered it because I haven't yet ordered a tractor. But if I do end up with the BH75, I'm definitely getting Richard's thumb so long as it's still available.
