Left hand mold board plows

I would like to see the whirlwind levee plows become a staple as they
would aerate the soil more and also build it up into a higher mound
that would dry faster. Granted rocks would be an issue in any case.

That whirlwind levee plow would be fine in nice sandy loam ground,
I would hate to see it being attempted to use in our hard stony ground,
it wouldn't last very long.

Hello Lou,

I was thinking along the lines of using a modified/reinforced tree transplanting auger
with replaceable conical carbide bits. A gearbox from the 8 foot wide northwest tiller
would be perfect for this as the levee plow could be employed with a pair of augers
on a slight diagonal creating a 6 foot cut with the tree transplanting augers.
I would love to build build one.

It would be interesting but anything that is rotating while being pulled forward is going to get a lot of force applied to it,
especially when the lower end go up against that immovable 8' rock.

Lou if I am fortunate enough to get this beast started I will be buying a lot of steel a high horsepower gearbox from Northwest Tiller, V belt pulleys and parts from Vermeer directly as well as 2-3 disc plows, disc plow bearings, disc plow bearing hubs and sealed bearings and bearing housings for the bases of the transplanting augers.

If it is going to cost more than an 8 foot one pass full tillage rototiller for 14 inch depth all bets are off. I will be importing the Cadillac of rock pickers from Spain and installing engines on them and renting them out.
