LED shop lights

You wore me out just reading that, no way in this life time will I sheet rock my garage let alone mud on 14' walls, I seriously doubt I'll get enough gumption to get white paint on bare wood, maybe if I was 40 years younger with nothing else to do.

My garage/shop isn't heated, just a woodstove for when I want to work out there in cool/sorta cold weather (takes too long to warm up if it's below 20 out). Sheetrock probably wouldn't stand up to the moisture. White walls/ceiling would be nice, but probably a bear to keep clean.

The rock is up and partially taped. Lousy job done though so it will be a lot of sanding and still won't be a quality finish job. Might pull everything out and have some mud it and I will paint if I can find some poor guy that wants to do it.

It's a workshop, not your living room. Nothing I'd obsess over.

OSB doesn’t work to bad. It doesn’t take paint well but good enough for a shop to make it brighter.

I have a white metal ceiling and unfinished OSB walls and it works pretty well. Mine is fully insulated. If I wanted white walls, I would go metal and not spend the effort to drywall and paint.

My shop is now about 2/3 OSB white painted. I really need to finish that one day.

Small sheet of canvas or whatever, thrown over back of your welding helmet, there's your solution to glare.

Anyone notice the new Braun 5500 lumen shop light from Harbor Freight? This one says link up to 8 instead of 4 like the single bulb model... There's a coupon so it's $30 going on til the 30th...

I'm wondering if I should max out a couple coupons and give them a whril, but was hoping someone would have tried them since I can't just go mount them today without electricity in the shop yet...

Neighbor's shop is all white metal and is nice and bright. I never noticed a problem welding over there either.:confused3: He did have a fire one time and thankfully the metal walls are fire resistant so he could put the fire out before any damage. He did have to clean the residue off the walls and ceiling.

MDO board works great.

The overlay is paint ready.
