I pretty much outlawed black on anything in tooling or have to look into,, no black tools, tool boxes or black buckets....

And most of the electrical consumption is the ballast.

My neighbor just built a 30x40' garage and used white metal for the ceilings and walls,this plus a lot of LED's;you could perform surgery in it.I like it alot.I just replaced my 30 year old fluorescents in my garage with LED's and it makes a huge difference.
