BTDT... My dad like to play that trick on us when we were kids. He'd be wearing his rubber irrigating boots and touch the electric fence to make us think it wasn't on. Then we'd touch it and discover otherwise. One of us discovered one day that if we touched him while he was touching the fence he got shocked, too. He didn't play that trick on us so much anymore after that.

yeah, when I was about 16 a schoolmate handed me a garden hose to drink from that was very near an electric fence. The Kid knew the fence was electrified and I didn't, and purposely kept the stream of water from touching the fence when He handed it to me he knew I was liable to let the stream hit the fence.. All got a good laugh from my reaction when the stream of water eventually hit the fence as I was drinking from it... except me.
