Hi,

Our 410B has been leaking diesel since we started using it again (it had probably not been used a few months) back in February. Now that I've been using it a little more regularly, the leak is becoming worse.

I had the good fortune of someone showing me how to use the machine awhile back, but unfortunately I haven't been trained on repair and maintenance (other than what I read in the operations manual). Although, I do know it has been greased and the oils changed about a year ago.

The leak is coming from DSCN9498.jpg this, almost from the top of it, on the right side. It's dripping at a rate of about 1 drop every 4 seconds. Here's a closeup: DSCN9499.jpg

Any help at all would be much appreciated. I thought it would be quite simple - such as a clamp that needs tightening, but I couldn't seem to find anything like that in this area; although maybe I missed it. Thank you so much for reading and your support.

Jeremy

What you have is a Lucas CAV injector pump. They were used on many different engines through the years.

It sounds like yours has a throttle shaft leak. There are many threads online discussing this common problem.

Thanks so much. I'll have a look at those threads. Really appreciate it.
