Leaking around pto shaft

Today I changed my transmission/hydraulic fluid for its scheduled maintenance. Proceeded to bush hog for about 30 minutes. After pulling it into the shed I noticed that there was fluid leaking from around the pto shaft. Well darn. What am I looking at folks as far as repairs? Major? Complicated? Expensive? I have a Mahindra 2810 with 613 hours on it. Earlier this year I spent $1,200 on the steering cylinder replacement due to operator stupidity.

That seal should be replaceable without splitting the transmission. It was on my Kubota B7100. On that I didn't even need to unbolt a cover, just carefully pry out the old seal and install the new one.

It may be a coincidence that the seal failed right after an oil change but if it was me I'd double check the oil amount and type.

Seal failed after bush hogging, not after oil change...so that gives me the impression (although ericm979 could be right) that most likely you picked up a long piece of grass or otherwise that wrapped itself around the pto shaft and got eaten by the seal. Sometimes you can VERY CAREFULLY pop the seal edge up to see if there is grass wrapped around the shaft, and use a pick to remove it (an L shaped pick works good). Worse case, you mess up the seal if it wasn't already damaged. Double check the shaft where the seal rides to make sure you don't have a groove, but not likely in 30 minutes of mowing.
