LB2204 Steering Gear Box

I have an old Kioti LB2204 that the steering gear box is out (turns left sometimes but will not turn right at all) Can these be rebuilt? Were do you get parts or replacement gear box. The Kioti dealer just looks at me strange because I'm looking for parts for a 40 year old tractor

I'd try and find a .pdf diagram of the steering box, failing that I'd still take it apart and have a look. From the sound of it, it seems that a bearing is failing and will pile up when going one direction but won't go the other way, kind of like a ratchet. If that's the case, bearings will be off the shelf parts that any good bearing house can source. There could also be a broken tooth that jams the gears at times, but that seems unlikely.

Presume it's a manual geared steering box ?
As Dan says, above, you have nothing to lose by dismantling the steering box and having a look inside.
You may be able to adapt a steering box from another make. See if there are any tractor wreckers in your area.
