Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has had a problem with the PTO
disengaging on its own. I have a 5 ft. rhino finish mower I am mowing with. I have used this tractor and mower for three years and never had a problem. I have tried adjusting the clutch, that didnt help. Any ideas?
I would certainly appreciate any help.
Thank You

Check to see if the lever or linkage is bent. That's where I'd start. It could be not engaging all the way.

Linkage is not bent, ran the deck with transmission in neutral,
didnt disengage. Started mowing and it would disengage randomly, doesnt seem to be any certain thing that makes it do it. I am not mowing anything very heavy, and it is straight, flat ground. I checked the deck out, brand new blades, spindles, gearbox, belt are good.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

I would pull of the cover holding in the PTO and give it a good look over to see if there is something broken inside. I'm not sure on the 1914, but I think there are only four bolts hoding it in, Be cautious in handling any seals.
It's a good idea to buy a shop manual for that model so you'll have help on hand. John
