Just read an industry pundit who said both types of bronco sales have declined and that was predicted to happen. That is the people who tend to buy them have, so sales will decline. Having said that the sport version is in competition with the cr-v and Rave type vehicles and the full size bronco is larger and in a different class.
Excellent posts Arly. Thank you very much!!!! I never knew there was a difference. Duhhhh....

I use to own the predecessor to the bronco sport . absolutely loved that escape ! had the 2.0 turbo engine in it 2017. I myself honestly wouldn't tow with it. and in snow it was ok . but its final demise was the transmission failed at 100000 miles. it was a sad day when I had to get rid of it. but it was a fantastic car to commute in. if it were myself. I'd go with the full sized bronco. it would tow more stable with the longer wheel base and more weight. If I had the extra coin. I'd consider the full sized 1 myself.

just in test driving them, we'd agree. Dearest liked the sport more, but not heavy or long enough for the trailer we got.

I wish you'd come talk to the guys at our County shop. Our Search and Rescue unit is assigned 4 County-owned vehicles - a Tahoe, a Suburban, and 2 - 3/4 ton GMC pickups. Check engine lights have been illuminated on all of them for years. Guys at the shop tell us to not worry about them.

Almost guarantee it's a MAF sensor. 🤣

We see the sales trend for Bronc's is declining and this should prompt ford into discounts. We have received fords sales flyer which included the sport, f-150 while other manufacturers are offered zero percent interest on the autos. Seems the industry is moving back into a competitive market.

Over the week we again test drove a B sport, full sized version plus a ford explorer and escape. We decided the Bronco sport was the best and filled our needs. Liked its operator comfort, ride, control setup, storage capacity and operator visibility. The sport had the the best balance of the 4 we drove. We are looking at ordering one now.

Is there a particular package you're looking at? There's a very neat graphics package that I'm pretty sure I like, but I can't quite decide.

How did the turbo 3 cylinder feel?

I looked it up real quick, it's called the Free Wheeling package.

The new Jeep Wranglers are nothing like the old CJs. The Wranglers handle very nice on and off road. And the cabin comforts also work very well.
When my siblings and I were all still living at mom's, we had a few of each, and my experience with them was a bit different than yours. There are few vehicles that suck more for highway driving than a Jeep of any flavor. CJ's, Wranglers, Saharas, Renegades... they all suck, once you put them on asphalt at highway speed. Great fun for light off-roading (stock) or tooling around town at local speed, but that's about it.

... and I also owned a Bronco, but too old to be of any interest to the OP.

We are getting the Badlands version and here is its engine. This has nearly the HP of my truck!

The 2.0L EcoBoost engine was made for spirited driving and exploring new trails with 250 horsepower and 277 lb. -ft. of torque.

My Rubicon is perfectly acceptable for highway driving. I’ve got 55,000 miles on it and drive it on highway trips.
I mean it’s small inside, so it’s not roomy, but I have no problems driving it on the highway.
