Last groundhog day

When the rodents saw their shadows I was looking forward to six more weeks of winter. Six days later the melt is in full force. This meltdown is going to remove all our snow and has already made it too sloppy on the lake to go fishing. Forecast is for warm weather through to the end of the week. I don't really care for an early spring, it just makes for a longer mud season.

About the same here in Western, Pa.
Its been very cold with lots of snow on the ground for many weeks.
The last few days have been much warmer. The biggest part of our snow is melted and we will be all mud by the end of this coming week.

When the groundhog came out and predicted more winter weather.......I was thinking, "Bring it on....we haven't had much snow in years......." Now that it has warmed up some and we went riding ATVs yesterday, I'm wishing all of this cold weather away!

Come on spring time! I want to get outside and go out to the property and work.........

Heck, it has been cold since early November, here. Typcially, even December can have some warm periods that last a week or so....

If spring could be here next week that would be fine. The fish would come to me before the season closes. But spring won't be here next week. Late February can be the best part of winter. 0C with snow is a beautiful thing. 0C with mud is no fun at all.
