Rake Land Rake Offer

Hey all,

I am in the market for a landscape rake. I was looking at the Land Pride 72".

Here is the offer from the local dealer...Keep in mind I am very had on equipment so I am currently going to find out about warranties on each.

Here is the pricing on the rock rake.

New Land Pride LR1572 List $729.00 will sell @ $670.00 gauge wheels $373 flip down grader blade $350 total $1393 (Price difference between 6ft &7ft $115)

Now, here is some food for thought for you, I have a used Woods brand 6FT rake in stock with gauge wheels and flip down blade for $750. The rake has about three teeth that are slightly bent still very workable. Would this be of any interest to you?

IMHO - if you are very hard on equipment, I think you'd be better off with Woods as a brand and with used as a starting point. Three bent teeth can easily be replaced or ignored as you want. I would jump on the used deal.

I'd write a check for the used woods and tell them that it includes 3 new teeth. Load up and come back for the replacement teeth, coffee and a donut later.

I'd take that woods any day of the week, but he's right ask for some new teeth.

Thanks guys....I took the advice and went with the woods. He told me he was giving me such a "good deal" that he could not throw in any new teeth and I would have to buy them on my own. He said they are not bent all that much and it is not affecting its operation.

Oh well, at least it is still half as much!!
