Oil & Fuel L5030 ran out of diesel, how I got it running again

I haven't been keeping up with what John's been posting.

I'm the "10 year old kid" he mentioned in the first post. My job was to ask the silly questions, "Where does this line go?", "What happens if you open this valve?", etc. Also, to sit in the driver's seat with him stuffed under the hood and hit the starter when he held his thumb up and release the key when he pointed down. Most of the time all I could see was the top of his (mostly) bald head and that one hand.

Between the 2 of us old farts, we can be quite persistent when we want to be.

He's in Texas -- we can pour large quantities of diesel over stuff (if we could afford large quantities) to burn large piles of trees, leaves, and whatever.

Yep, everybody needs a buddy like McSummation when he runs out of diesel....couldn't have done it without him... didn't, in fact, I messed with it for over 2 weeks before getting help from the "10 year old kid" as he described

Heck, I even mix diesel with my herbicides.... for mesquite.. works, too
