L5030 hst

Just upgraded from a l3010 hst to a new /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif5030 hst , r4s quick detach . heavy duty bucket. I installed 3 kubota remote valves. running a Gannon box scraper with hydraulic rippers , top and tilt.
in the process of fabricating a quick detch brush/ rock Grapple with hydraulics.
Question? ---- what width of grapple are other tractor owners using out their? i dont want it to wide and massive for it's lifting capacity of the tractor. Building it out of 2" round solid 4140 Chromemolly for the bottom rake.

I could really use a grapple. My use would be only occasional. What would be you opinion of this attachment to the loader??

I'm also thinking seriously about an Add A Grapple for my smaller tractor. If what you are planning to use it for is primarily brush it seems to be by far the most cost effective way to add grapple functions. If you are a professional landscaper, you might want one of the bigger dedicated grapples, especially if you are picking up big hunks of trees regularly.

Ask CT Tree Guy. John has the same tractor you do and LOVES his big ole grapple. He is a pro so your needs may differ but he'll have more specific advice.
