Tractor
1972 MF 135 diesel, Kubota L3940
Just completed first transmission fluid change at 400 hours as suggested by ops manual. Used Kubota UDT and filter. Now the tractor has a little "jerk" each time I put it in gear that it did not have previous to changing fluid. I can use the clutch and eliminate the "jerk" but that seems like a bad workaround that will cause unnecessary wear on the clutch.

Any ideas?

The Kubota GST transmission really needs Super UDT for the best function and shifting. The GST ECU shifts gears and modulates the solenoid for the shuttle clutches for smooth shifting and is made to work with the Super UDT.

When I did the 50 hour change on my L3130GST that came with a used backhoe that had some other fluid in it, the UDT change made it run smoother and got rid of a little clutch squeal in 7th and higher gears.

There should be GST clutch setting mode in the Intellipanel but it is made for when the solenoid is changed and not really to compensate for the incorrect fluid. The GST has a temperature sensor and speed sensors for shifting and am thinking it is being thrown off by the change from Super UDT to UDT.
