I hear you, my current setup isn't ideal, but is way better than it use to be. Imagine crowding that with a quick hitch now. :p

Crowded with a quick hitch? Na, it's not that bad..... Just added the hyd toplink yesterday. Even with all this, I still have room for my 6' 2" and 245 lbs self in there running the backhoe

Thanks to Brian at fitrighthydraulics

I could not live without it, it really made a tractor out of it.

Quick question: I am getting rear remotes put on my MX5100. I have ordered from the dealer 2 rear remotes one with detent(float), one without. Someone told me they recommended both with detent. other options would be welcome.

Depends on what you are planning to do... and there are ways around not having float. I don't have float on any of my valves. When I bush hog, I just don't connect the top link. The few times I hit rocks, just lifting the front of the mower is enough to clear the rock. For me, I just don't see the need for float.

Float is a 4th position. You can still use the valve like normal, as if the float wasn't there. But you still have it if you want. Same cannot be said for a standard 3-position valve.

You can take my float from my cold dead hands...

Don't use it much on my side link, but all the time on my toplink.

Circumstances are the key here. I have only used float on the top link checking different situations out. Side link gets used every time I do a complete smoothing finish grade of our 1 3/8 mile road at every intersection.
