Anyone get any quotes yet from a dealer on a L3560 Limited? I received a quote for about $34,500 roughly. Sound about right?

I think you'll need to include a list of options before a good comparison can be made.

True. Includes:
805 FEL
72" QA Bucket
Rear Wiper and Defrost installed
High Cap. Alternator

I broke out the bale spear and GS 1572 72" Grading Scraper. With those included it came out to $36,775.

What is your altitude?

L3560 could be underpowered with a cab at 4,000'+. Power losss is 3% per 1,000', over 1,500'.

Rimguard + cab = 1,200 pounds. (Bare tractor = 3,700 pounds.)

L3560 has modest power. With the weight of the cab you will not need to load the tires for traction.

You will be limited to a medium duty five foot Rotary Cutter.

I know soil varies a great deal in Montana.

If you have tough soil consider Kubota's SSQA Round-back, Heavy-duty bucket.

What tires have you ordered?

I haven't ordered yet. Just got a quote. I'll have to check what tires they had selected on the quote. My soils are red clay soils or as we affectionately refer to as Great Falls Gumbo.... Pretty special stuff when wet. Sticks to everything and ruins foundations if not accounted for.

Being south of 30 PTO HP I would think a 5 foot cutter would be appropriate at any altitude.
I'll eventually buy a mower but initially I intend to hire a couple of sheep and/or goats to eat the grass, then I'll eat them! Heck of a deal I'd say!

Industrial tires were selected in the quote. I think the standard bucket should be ok for my intended uses. I doubt I'll be digging/hauling much soil. Likely will be mucking cattle manure, compost and gravel for road maintenance. Bale spear will be used if I can source some lighter round bales in the 1,000 lb or less range. Otherwise I'll stick with small square bales until my budget can fit a larger tractor. Lots of snow removal during the winter season. Although I have a feeling I'll run out and purchase the tractor and we'll have a couple/few light snow seasons. I had also considered a B2650 but I have a feeling I'd be happier with the 3560.

I received a quote on a L3560HSTC LE of $32,300 with LA805 FEL and R4’s, no other options. So your quote doesn’t sound too far off given the extra options you chose.

I was hoping you'd chime in. This is exactly what he needs to see. Thanks!!

I'm at 7,000' with my L4060 & it probably has less HP than a L3560 at sea level. It's fine for traction related stuff. But I wish for more power roading it (drops from 14mph to 6-7 on hills) & when mowing with a big flail.

I'd love a bigger tractor and likely it would be more appropriate in the long run, in fact I also looked at a 7060 on the lot, drove it around a bit and fell in love. Alas, $50k just isn't in the budget right now.
