I have a pretty ignorant question for you folks who may be familiar with this unit. I purchased the unit about a month ago to do some land improvements around my property. The tractor had no manual or documentation at the time. The dealer I purchased in from does have a service manual on order for me but in the mean time.

I have looked everywhere and I can not find the dip stick location, is this hidden. I took the covers and the hood off and I have no idea. Also what weight oil is recommended, 15w 40?

Not sure about the L35, but the L39's in on right side right down by the oil pan itself at the axle level.

I have a L-35 and the dipstick is just forward of the starter on the left side, and slightly lower. The oil change capacity is 5.1 qts. with filter change. Hope you enjoy the tractor.

Yep what ^he^ said....and add this: the filler cap is a black rubber plug right in front of and above the dipstick.
Plus, the L35 is a great tractor capable of more than quite a few larger units!
