Boy, is this embarrassing.
We've all been there.Boy, is this embarrassing.
My tractor works perfectly. It wouldn't start because, incredibly, I had failed to push in the pull-stop knob. Something I had done every time, of course, I had ever started it, including many times that very day. When I started it last night, it started instantly and I got the distinct sense it was muttering under it's breath about me.
I'm going to make a big "PUSH TO START" sign, I guess.
Thanks again to everyone for all your help. Sorry for the snipe hunt!
I also have done this-makes one feel a bit humble though. betcha you won't forget again-until maybe in a couple weeks and you're in a hurry.Hey Dirk - don't sweat it. That's what I meant by the kill switch and the reason I knew to check that is because I did the same thing once long ago. Went through all kinds of trouble shooting before I found it! Definitely always start with the simple stuff!
