Hi, I'm a new tractor owner. My first question is the fuel filter selector - the previous owner always left the switch in the on position. There are two on positions and he did not know what the other one was for, I'm assuming a reserve?

The other position is 'off '. Used for changing the filter otherwise is left in the on position.

You misunderstood, or I was not clear. There is an OFF, I know that, there are two ON positions, and I wanted to know if one was a reserve. Thank you.

As far as I know there is no reserve. Sorry I did misunderstand. Don't know why they have the 3 position valve.:confused2:

Do yourself a favor and get an owners manual for your tractor.It will answer most questions you will have and tells you how to maintain your tractor.Get one from your local dealer or Messicks or Tractorsmart.I just looked and Messicks has one for $16.37.Invalueable to say the least.Welcome and Good Luck!

I have the original owners, and parts, manual but neither describe the 3 poistion selector. I'll ask the Kubota dealer when I get my first parts list together.

One is to allow more fuel to go to the injector ( all the way to the left ) regular flow is straight up and down
