L130 Service indicator

Can anyone tell me how to reset the service indicator light on a John Deere L130 lawn tractor? Thanks in advance for the help.

From the online service manual in the<font color="green"> Using the Service Reminder (Models L110, L118, L120 and L130) </font>section - "When service is required, the service reminder will flash for two hours."

I think it just resets itself after 2 more usage hours. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Yep, it resets after 2 hours of blinking. It starts 1 hour before the service is due and keeps blinking for 1 hour past the service due hour reading. Say the service is due at 50 hours. The hour meter begins blinking at 49 hours and stops blinking at 51 hours regardless of whether or not you did the service.

I have the L120 and the 130 should be the same.

On the other hand, you don't have to look at it...just apply 12V for two hours, like letting the machine sit with the ignition on. (How to Reset the Service Timer on a John Deere L13 | Home Guides | SF Gate)
