Kubota vs Kioti?

So then what is the kubota reverse engineered after? You know they were not the first!

That would be Yanmar, and the time is roughly the 1980s. By 1990 the reverse engineering was completed, and a decade after that Kubota was well in the lead in popular compact tractors.
Kubota beng so much better at merchandising didn't hurt either.
No reason why Kioti can't do the same.
All three companies do a lot of their own manufacturing in house. That's a plus for them all.

Well, it would be bad if you needed parts for your Kubotas, considering that you sell them with less than 250 hours... :)
Guess you beat me to it.
I've put more hours on an engine oil change than he does on most of his tractors before trading/selling it off.

Well I'm sitting on the quote/application now until Monday. Looks like it will be the Kioti 2610 unless something happens between now and then to change my mind. In large part, the decision was made easier because of the lack of Kubotas anywhere near me.

It looks like it will be a good fit as far as size, accessories, dealer, etc...

One question: the dealer suggested a 'bolt-on 60 inch cutting edge' for the front loader. What is this and do I need it for $335...?

I agree, however you might want to consider a bolt on tooth bar (piranha, Titan, Everything Attachments, Amazon, etc.) It will increase your ability to dig int sod, roots, etc.

I did the bolt on edge w my deere along (I think??) the “heavier” bucket at the time??? (I believe there were 2 options)

the edge is great and it is reversible (never done in 10yrs)

I wouldn’t get one without it. I don’t worry about curling an edge etc

tooth bar would also be a consideration as noted above

I would do one or other imho

You really can’t go wrong with the 2610. Great tractor!
