I just went through kubota vs Branson decision. I was looking at smaller 25hp models. My wife was against Branson since anyone you ask around here recommends Kubota. All their plants are within an hour of here so that sways locals.
It really came down to two things. Kubota felt better, just the operator station room and layout were better to us. My wife will put in a good bit of seat time so she did have a fair bit of say. What really got me though was the way the Branson dealer dodged my questions about who works on them. He said we do service but most customers do their own. What he was really saying was they'll change the oil but never did tell me who repairs them.
I paid a bit more for Kubota but I'm glad I did and the wife is real happy. In reality I'm sure the Branson would have been fine but ...
BTW Kubota wasn't as overpriced as some people make them sound.
