Kubota Treadle Pedal...

I wonder how many different versions of the treadle pedal that Kubota makes?
Some I like and some don't work for me.
I really like the one on our Kubota TLB. It's easy to use because the heel of the foot rests on the floor board so it is stable for small movements. I only have to move the foot slightly for forward or reverse and the floorboard provides a solid reference. It's a natural motion and comfortable for bigger, older feet.

When I was shopping in 2002 I tried a BX and thought that pedal was absolute junk. At that time I already had the Ford 1210 and it has a single pedal. It worked just fine then and still does.

Since then I'm on the third Kubota - B7500, L3200 & L4240. All have had treadles that worked just fine. There were some slight differences between them. I much prefer them over the side-by-side pedals on a Montana I used at work several times.

I think the treadle pedal is the biggest flaw on my Kubota. 2 yrs in I'm getting used to dealing with it but that doesn't make it any less of an engineering failure ergonomically speaking.
Does it work? Yes
Is it comfortable to operate? No
Would I suggest it to a friend? Absolutely not.

This is what mine looks like. 4240HSTC. Saw some that were shaped more like a boomerang.

I have a B2601 I purchased about 8 months ago, really like the tractor except the treadle pedal. Had a JD 2320 previously and liked the two pedal arrangement much better.
Would have bought another JD except the local dealer lost their JD franchise to a larger dealer over 30 miles away.
The way I use the Kubota Pedal to reverse is lift up with my toe under the front of the pedal. Not the most comfortable but I make it work.

The 2320 was my tractor before my LS. Was a very comfortable layout for a small machine. I don’t think any current models this size improve upon it.

I don't have any complaints with the treadle pedal on my b2601 after over a year.

I have an mx5100 with 1600 hrs. The treadle is perfect for me. love it. I do a lot of backing and manoeuvring doing woodswork and farm work. When backing I twist around to the right to see backing up and my heel fits the treadle perfectly.

We definitely don't like the pedal on our 2021 LX2610.

There's not much of anything I like about it.
My wife likes it. It's her tractor, but I still end up messing with it more than I like.

We haven't had a Kubota yet that I found comfortable.

We have a Toro 223D Groundsmaster, with a 72" deck that we both find very comfortable.
We also have a 220D. Mtge pedal is a little different and we don't care for it. We haven't run the 325D or the 329D, enough to pass judgement on either

I have no issue with the treadle pedal on my B2601. Even lawn tractors are incorporating it too. My Cub Cadet LX1 even has one so I guess I am just comfortable with using them.
