Kubota LA350A FEL Capacity

Hi All.

I have a B2150 with a LA350A FEL.

I want to get some of those Titan clamp on forks, but am unsure of my loader capacity.

I planned to get either the 1,500lb or the 4,000lb capacity forks. But no sense paying for 4,000 forks if my FEL will only lift 1,000lb.

Any comments on the chain binders as an option for the forks ?

the 350 in your loader's model number is it's capacity in kilograms, that converts to 771 pounds.

The model number gives the capacity in kg (take first two numbers and multiply by ten; the last number gives the revision) -- so it would be 350kg, or about 772#. And that's at the pin. Farther forward, you will lose capacity. Clamp on forks are especially bad for that.

The only reason you might want to get the heavier forks is because of their construction. If I remember right, the lighter forks are a bit wispy built.

You're loader lifts less than 1,500 pounds. By the time you put on a set of clamp on forks your lift capacity will be drastically less than 1500 pounds. It takes no slouch of a tractor to lift 1500 pounds at 48" forward of the pins.

Go with the "wispy" 1500. I've got both Titans, 4K rated forks for my M4700 and 1.5K rated forks for my B7610. Both sets are very sturdy. Also either get the stabilizer bar or fab something up, it really helps.

BUT don't forget 4570, if you drink some CUT kool-aide, you will be able to pick up 3500 pound logs! lol
