Kubota L4600 Battery Replacement

I need a replacement tractor battery for my Kubota L4600. Where is the best place to get one. Can I buy at a Sam's club or Walmart?

12V, CCA: 582A us what I think I need according to specs. I got lucky the original battery lasted almost 10 years.

If the BCI Group size is not printed on the battery, measure your existing battery, and note which side the positive and negative terminals are on. Go to your preferred retailer and match up a size and configuration.
There are also BCI tables that you can use to determine what group size fits.
Many of the Kubota compacts will take a group 24F battery.

My local privately owned auto parts store stocks a great battery at a reasonable price. He has a listing of the size and CCA requirements of the tractor in question. If yours doesn't have such, bring your old battery in and they shuld be able to match it. You will need to give them the old "core" battery to save that extra cost anyway so you aren't loosing anything, actually saving money on no core cost.

I did what RJ said years ago for my NH TC48, except I measured what size battery would fit in the battery box and found that a group 65 size fit. It has been in the tractor for over 5 years now. Works just fine. When I bought, cost was $99.

My original battery from 2013 finally ghosted me this season on my L4600HST. It was a GS 80D26R. I replaced it with a Die Hard 550 CCA Marine battery I had left over from a boat I sold. The boat battery happened to fit in the same space as the GS battery -- I had to loosen the air cleaner assembly which sits right over the battery as the boat battery was about 3/4" too tall to slide in like the old battery did but once it was in there, the air cleaner assembly would still fit where it was supposed to go. So I figured I'd try it for a while and see if it held up -- the GS battery was rated at 582CCA so I had some doubts about whether this one would hold up. So far so good after quite a few hours running - but I haven't run it in any cold weather either so that may make a big difference for folks up north.

I have a L4600DT from 2013. I just went out to check the battery and it's 13.5V and 100% charged.i guess it should be dead by now but it isn't.
