Call dealer today for set ladder rear tire chains to fit R4's when they come for first service,and told him subtract from my credit account,dealer said that will be $820.oo..about blow my coffee all over the phone.

Tire chains $470.oo..I am find w/that.
Spacers $350.oo..hmmm

Are these spacers must?
Has some not useing spacers but running tire chains?

can't comment on the spacers but check tractortirechains.com and tirechains.com. actually you can just google tractor tire chains and get some links. i also have a L2800 and pretty sure i found a set to fit my R-4's for a lot less than 470

Dealer is talking about wheel spacers to move the wheels out so the chains don't rub on the inside of the fenders. I've heard of others with R4's post about this. If I remember, some of the "low-profile" chains cleared the fenders without a problem.

How much space is between the tire and the fender? I would buy the chain and cut and weld the links to make my own, but im cheap, so.............
