I have an L225 that starts somewhat hard. I glow plug it for about 40 seconds when its 40-50 degrees out and it will start for a second or so then die. I have to do this 4-5 times before it takes off. The battery is new, glow plugs new, filters have been changed, new fuel etc. Any thoughts? Also, is there a faster heating glow plug available for these? Could this be air in the fuel line?

Check to make sure the new glow plugs are seating...
I usually give mine a little throttle when she starts....1,100 to 1,600 rpm on start up......
40 seconds on the glow plugs seems like a long time to me.....I usually give them 15 at the most.....
Air problems and it won't run at all but you might bleed each injector when you do get it started....
It does not get that cold where I live.....

Let us know what you discover....

Can you tell me what the little black rubber tubes are that run from one injector to another?
