I’m asking if anyone knows of or has installed a LA1065 loader on their L4740 series's tractor. The LA1065 loader is a MX Loader, Kubota says it will fit?

Not sure who told you the LA1065 would fit an L4740. I can find no reference that says it will. Perhaps someone else here knows differently, and there may be aftermarket adapters out there that would let you do it, but I would think twice.

I have an LA1065 on my MX5800 and it can get pretty hairy when lifting heavy loads to full height. Personally, there is no way I would consider using it on a smaller, lighter tractor. YMMV.

It came directly from Kubota. My LA854 was defective, Kubota said it’s a direct replacement, from the specs sheet they are the same weight.???

The standard loader on the 4760, 5460 & 6060 is the LA1055.

The standard loader on the 4760, 5460 & 6060 is the LA1055.
The L4760 & higher have a bigger front axle. My L4060 & smaller have the smaller front axle & hence limited to the smaller loader. As it is I can work the front axle pretty hard with that loader. The back end will stay on the ground, unlike my old L3200.even with lots of ballast the old L3200 got sketchy pushing the loader hard. On the L4060 steering gets weak, but it still feels pretty stable. Proper ballast helps, but it feels like I'm abusing the front end lifting heavy. Had 1 set of front wheel bearings go & need replacement at around 1,000 hours. Not sure if the heavier axle is any better. But I almost always used proper ballast & tried to avoid stressing the front axle to hard.

As of today I have a new loader on my L4740. LA1065 fit on the tractor without modifying anything. I’ll be glad to get my tractor back. Kubota guaranteed it was the same loader as the LA854, only difference is the decals. I’ll post pictures when I get it home.
Did a little research the Kubota L4740 and L4760 have the same front axle. Same part number.

interesting. If you look at the specs the 854 and the la1055 are very close in capacities, kubota numbers their loaders according to the lift capacity but they changed the location (at the pins vs a set distance out) where they took the rating so they are essentially the same capacity and to know that the loader from the MX series fits the older 40 series grand is nice info to have for those that are trying to retrofit a loader on an older tractor.

are the hydraulic connections on the LA1065 on the inside of the bracket like the LA854 or outside the bracket like the LA1055.
