Kubota front autohitch

sandalwood, that hitch is made by RADTEK from Canada. I exchanged emails with one of the engineers last winter while researching the quick hitch subframe. lt190b

I don't know if the price I heard is true or not but I heard that was a 7-8 thousand dollar option. If that price is correct, rather pricey.

I see it was added to the build and price site not too long ago for the Grand L series. I like it, but it isn't very cheap. I haven't seen any in person or at dealers though.

Interesting piece. Ive seen the RadTech front hitches before on a snowblower, but it wasnt a "quick hitch" for multiple attachments.

Problem with a setup like this is that it takes over your rear PTO and you have a shaft running under your tractor lowering your ground clearance.

Kubota should just offer a proper 3pt on the front, like the Euros.

I like the flail mower. I think the attachments run off the mid PTO.

I have the subframe for a snow plow blade, but not the autohitch front end, on my L3940. Yes, the are using the mid pto for power. The subframe is not that easy to put on, especially if kept on the bare ground like mine. Takes maybe +/- 15 minutes, so I only put on for the snow season. On my tractor, I cannot leave the subframe on and mount the fel. Philip.

That was one of my questions. Can you leave your loader subframe on when the front mount autohitch subframe is on? For snow removal, it is helpful to have loader available to deal with high snowbanks.

Flail mower is sweet!

AFAIK there is a rear mounted gearbox that changes direction and sends power to the front.

I know that there are aftermarket CatII (and larger) kits to add front 3pt to machines without them. To me, if the front QH from Kubota is $7000 ish dollars, a proper 3pt for about the same is better money spent. It has a hydraulic clutch for the pto and is driven off the crank. I think the autohitch is a good idea and it would save some time but how many people are going to buy it because it is $6,000 more than the manual hitch. I wonder if they are testing the waters on the L60 tractors and are maybe going to add a autohitch to the BX or B series. If Deere would have made their autoconnect deck for the 1 series compatible with the snow blower and broom they would have almost had something.

I really like your plow setup. I like how they Kubota frame ties into the drawbar. The setup I had on the Bobcat for the snowblower was not nearly as nice. It just bolted to the front of the frame. IDK how well the frame would hold up if you had a blade on it. The snowblower also had an adapter on it to fit the Bobcat quick hitch. If I can sell my SSQA blade for a decent price I am going to make a frame mount plow. I was scared to get a tractor specific attachment like the Kubota frame mount blade after the Bobcat was a dud. I wanted something that was versatile so if the L4240 did not work out I could use it on another brand tractor.

I'm pretty sure it runs off the mid PTO.

Before I put out $7k for a setup like that I would probably build a front 3 point hitch and put a quick hitch on it. You can buy right angle gear boxes so getting the PTO from the back to the front would not be that hard. Someone on here built a front 3 point for a B2620 or B2920. They used the rear PTO to power their blower.

Crank

"The PTO gearbox is connected to the tractor crankshaft pulley by means of a rubber damper preventing vibration. Similarly the "soft start system" uses an electro-hydraulic multi-plate clutch inside the gearbox to provide smooth power engagement to the front PTO. Oil pressure for the clutch is supplied by an integrated pump in the gearbox which is driven by the input shaft. Where possible OPICO use the tractor manufacturer's own PTO engagement switch so that it integrates neatly into the switch layout in the cab. OPICO PTO units are completely self-contained using standard transmission oil and a replaceable oil filter. The front PTO gearbox works at 1000 PTO rpm and it turns anti-clockwise when you look at the front of the tractor. The shaft is 13/8" (35mm) with 6 splines DIN 9611. The 'heavy duty' gearbox can transfer a maximum of 125 kW (173 hp) continuously and even more in peak loads."

I was talking about the Kubota autohitch.
