I am going too pick up a new backhoe in a few days, doing the install myself; can the hoses from the backhoe be plugged into my rear remotes to power it?
Yes, they can. But you will have to bungee or tie a rope to hold the handle one way or the other. The ideal setup though would be to plumb a PowerBeyond loop so you get better flow to the backhoe.
Thanks, the hoe comes with the hose and tapped plate kit to do it the right way but to save some work I think I will try it to the remotes, one of them has a detent so it will lock into place.
I was going to use a remote for the backhoe until I read the Woods owners manual that said if the hoses are hooked up backwards then the backhoe's valve could be damaged. Did not want to take a chance of getting the hoses reversed or pulling the remote lever the wrong way so I hooked up to the Power Beyond port of the FEL.
Well it sounds like I should (will) pipe it in with the hose kit. I have a basic understanding of hydraulics and that is high PSI fluid can do very damaging things very fast.
