Oil & Fuel Kubota 6040

I have a Kubota 6040 with less than 300 hours, just recently it started to act like it was running out of fuel. I have changed the fuel filter, and that did not help. Next I drained the fuel tank and cleaned it. The tractor ran good for about 3 hours then started again like its running out of fuel. After it sets for a little while it runs good for a few mins. I hope someone can help.

Check that your tank is venting, either the cap is vented or there will be a vent line on it some where. Does it have more than one fuel filter. It might have a pre filter on it too.

I PREACH THIS TO EVERYONE DOING THEIR OWN MAINTENANCE. You are stumbling in the dark w/o your owners manual and the shop manual. Spend the $150. These type questions are 75% answered in those resources.

Did you clean the water seperator screen while changing fuel filter?? On RH side behind engine is a check valve in the fuel return to tank line. I would suggest to take it loose and see if engine will run correctly. I will clarify this statement as my M7040 and the M4900 I once owned both had this check valve so I presume your tractor does also.
