Kubota 4240 ?

Do you think a 4240 with quick attach forks will lift 1879 lbs I have to unload my Fort Knox in a week or so and if I need plan b I want to know now thanks for the help

The 4240 has the 854 FEL? 854 x 2.2 (lbs/kg) = 1878.8... say ... is this a joke?

No joke specs say 2489 at pivot but I don't know what it will lift with forks never weighed what I have picked up just know my new safe is 1879 and I heard the hydraulics are turned down some from full operating pressure hoping I can lift it

Too close to call. You'll need mucho rear counterweight. Is it laid horizontal or standing upright? Big gamble because if you drop it, you'll probably do some damage to something.

tires are loaded and I have a bh80x backhoe on the back should be fine as far as ballast goes

If the FEL will lift it, you've got it made. You may need to use a combination of lift and curl to get it started. That's why I mentioned securing it so it doesn't fall over. Can anyone grab some pics? Good luck!

Remember that the rated lift capacity is to full height. Unless you are trying to lift the new safe more than a few feet off the ground, your lift capacity should be higher than "rated".

It depends on how far out your load is but my thoughts are you should be safe! lol

I think you'll just make it. Another option would be to use the loader to lift it from above with straps to get the weight closer to the tractor.

Good point. You could actually remove the bucket/forks and just use straps or chain to carefully secure the load directly underneath the pivot point which would give you the best net lift capacity. Just don't leave much gap between the pivot point and the load as the geometry for lifting is best when the load is low.
