My loader is a LA450A model and the Lift Lower control is VERY touchy. It has always been this way. If you want to lift or lower the bucket gently it is very difficult to do so. I find it way to touchy too sensitive, Is there a way to adjust the sensitivity of the movement? I do not run Kubota UDT oil I use Tractor Supply Transmission grade hydraulic oil. I have had UDT in the tractor back when I first got it in 2008 or so but that did not make any difference.

The LA482 loader on my L3010 is like that. A idle it is easy to operate heavy handed but at higher RPMs anything more than a very light touch is to fast. The hardest thing for me is after putting around at near idle for a while and then doing something that requires higher RPM is getting back to the light touch. I often get a rude reminder the first lift or drop. I have considered putting flow restrictors in the lines to the lift cylinders, which would help you, but so far have not - it's been 25 years so probably won't.

I'd like to blame the leverage you get when moving the lift lower control lever, it's like 16" long, but even if you grip it at the base and try using both hands for extra ordinary control it behaves the same way.

Sounds like flow restrictors are what you need then

I suspect that the FEL control valves on those machines are just cheaply made, lacking small ramps on the lands of the spools.

My neighbor got a new Branson 2610H 3y ago and the FEL boom control sensitivity is terrible.

Flow restrictors may indeed be the only economical fix. My old JD 4300 loaders came with boom restrictors from the dealer.

Empty bucket or full bucket of heavy material. On the Kubota I used to own and my current JD they are always a little touchy with a bucket full of something heavy.

Does not matter really, the best description is "Herky Jerky" if you try to move gently. If you just want to lift or dump some soil, well that's ok, it is just really touchy if you try to lower it like if you have something fragile hanging from it on a chain maybe like a small rototiller let's say, and you want to lift it up and set it on a worktable for instance. You had better have 100% focus or you will come down so fast the bucket would crash into the tiller engine for instance. Up is touchy but down is really something to behold, ha ha
