Komatsu d21 steering issues

Hi there,
I recently purchased a komatsu d21p-6. It doesn't steer left very well. It will turn if its not being worked. I tried going up a hill and pulling both steering clutches slowly. The dozer stops and rolls back, and then stops when I pull the steering clutches further. If I push it up against a big tree, the right track won't spin, only the left one. I'm waiting on a service manual, but I'm not sure if it is a steering clutch issue? Or the final drive? Any advice would be much appreciated.

I also own a Komatsu D21. Been using it for about 18 months and now the steering is an issue. Left won't work at all. Right works fine.
Any advice? Anyone willing to post a picture along with some instructions?

does anyone still check these... I have a D21P that was working beautiful...then went to reverse and machine seemed overloaded and stalled. Tried forward and same thing..it appears that my left track is locked up...pulled the floor to check out linkage...linkage is free BUT...the arm that attaches to the shaft on the left side is completely pulled back as if the steering is full to the left...i do not know why ..i have taken a drift and tapped on the arm attached to the shaft and it is solid lock...the right side i can pull with my fingers about 3/4 of an inch...any ideas?

Hi i just found your post i to have that problem it won't drive on the left track , How did you get on with your problem
