Has anyone ever removed their stock fuel filter assembly and replaced it with a more common type? I am considering removing the crappy fuel filter head assembly and replacing it with a Racor 220 series fuel/H2o seperator. It will bolt right up where the old filter assy was and all I have to do is plumb it up. Only issues I can think of is flow capacity etc... The racor will handle 175 gal/hr so it is plenty. Still trying to figure out which oil filter assy I can retofit to work on the KM454. Any thoughts appreciated.
