I'll add a picture of my loader hoisting up a tree trunk:

That is a big tree.

It was a multi-trunk tree and this was just one trunk. Big Leaf Maple. Have some pretty huge ones here. I'd pulled that chunk out with a 20k lb excavator a couple years back, get it out of the brush. When I got the Kioti and grapple I thought I'd just see if I could pick it up (and haul it to a better spot for processing into firewood). I was pretty impressed with the ability of the loader (tractor and grapple). Would prefer that I end up with smaller diameter stuff as this was a good workout with the saw (only a 59cc, though ported).

What did you end up using for your 3rd function up front? Do you run off the rear remotes or have a separate setup off the loader valve? I'm thinking of getting a grapple for mine. I do have a rear remote on it also. It seems that it would be a lot cheaper to just run two lines and a set of couplers up to the front.

Jim, I went with rear remotes. It was a bit cheaper. It's using a full-detent valve- I just reach over and slap the lever and it closes/opens up as I manipulate the loader action. Of course, I need to pull it back into the neutral position fairly quickly, but it's not a big deal (for me).

My NX has three rear remotes. I leave the lines for the front hooked up all the time (because I really don't have a need for anything else to use the full-detent valve). I have an hydraulic top-link. My box blade has hydraulic rippers, in which case I am glad that I opted to go with three remotes (Kioti doesn't really spec them that way but I knew others had done this so I had my dealer install [when new]).
