kipor gererators

Hello,
Does anyone have any experience with the Kipor brand of AC generators? Are they decent or? We have intermittant power outages here and we are looking to replace an old generator.

The best people to ask is the folks at rv.net. They have debates and arguments that last for 100 pages in their forums about these Kipor and other chinese generators. The RV world of course is very interested in a generators sound output but also these guys are also concerned with portability, fuel consumption, and availability of parts. A typical RV A/C unit takes about 3500 watts to run so the RV crowd will fully use the Kipor.

I would not be a bit afraid of a Kipor. They can be had very cheaply and while most agree that a Honda is superior in a few ways, that same majority will admit that the Kipor is an excellent value and very dependable.
