Just joined. Thanks for accepting. I’m looking at the NX series. Probably the the 5010 or the 5510. I would prefer the bigger tires of the 55. I also wished you could get the 12x16.5 on the fronts. Tractor will be used mainly fo loader work but will be used to mow also. Leaning more towards the hst. Has anyone had any issues with the hydro transmission? I’m really having a tough time deciding between the Kioti and Kubota. Looking at the MX5400. I really like all the features and deck of the kioti. Any advise? Thanks in advance!!

Loader work is hard on clutches, hydros, shuttle shift, hydro reverser, other trademarked names are best. Run tractor near or at rated engine speed for psi and cooling of hydro oil. Run hydro pedal at or near full power, usually medium range for mowing (high range rough on rear end - YOUR's)

Welcome to TBN.......
Suggestion on your profile......
if you add a location like your home address so we know when to show for BBQ......j/k......Hmm...maybe not.....heh...:D

OK, really location, will help when it comes to questions about vegetation, clearing, etc a multitude of what pops up.....the folks here can provide better info.

As for the HST question; Wiley has about 594 hours and is up for its 400 hour hyd. fluid/filter change out......( I did an OCD change out at 200hrs)

No leaks or performance issues. Prematurely replaced a battery. Replaced with a larger CCA battery and four months later had start issues.
Discovered the ground clamp had no more adjustment left to tighten. Hate the soft lead OEM stuff. Replaced with marine grade battery clamp and bout 40 hours later still works great.

Other then that been excellent, for me......but then all other color machines are also great for the owners just depends on what fits you best and your rapport with your local dealer.

Good luck....and again welcome to TBN.

G'day Mate and welcome to TBN from Downunder.

Ditto on HST for FEL (front end loader) work... and for tractor (CUT) work in general. Figure what the biggest lifting job you will be doing and buy accordingly. If you can afford the 55, go for it.

Enjoy the site. (we LOVE spending your money :))

Bigger tires is why I opted for the NX5510 too. Would have been fine with 40 or 50HP engine, but I wanted the bigger tires and ground clearance for working in the woods, so I ended up with a little more engine than I really needed, but I consider it future-proofing also. If I ever need to run a larger PTO-driven machine, I'll have a few extra ponies to help with that I suppose . I definitely prefer HST for loader work, and working in tight woods like I do. I wouldn't mind bigger fronts myself. No easy way to switch to 12-16.50 fronts though; being taller, they'll throw off the gear ratio between the rear tires and the fronts. I'm sure it could be done, but it'll be more involved than just switching tires to do it right I'm afraid. Not to mention likely voiding any warranty you may have as well, unless its a mod the dealership would be willing to do. But I doubt it.

FWIW, loader work is normally about the easiest kind of work a tractor loader can do.

OP: You can also look at Bobcat's version of the NX as well.

I have an NX with loaded AG tires set at 82.5 inches wide. It does well with the loader and loaded AG tires. I rarely have to use the 4WD. Over 400 hrs going strong

MinnesotaEric, I think I read on here somewhere that you bought your tractor from the dealership in Ramsey? I didn't think you had a very good experience with them. What didn't you like about them?

I would not purchase another Kioti because of the American Importer.
