All things being otherwise equal (well the 6010 has a radio), is it worth $6K to jump up to the 6010?

Dealer has 6010 on the lot and throwing in some stuff to close the gap vs ordering a 4710. But pricing them out still comes to a $6000 difference.

Will be used on 80-acre property. Will be my first tractor. I am kind of thinking that $6000 could go a long ways towards getting the implements I want.

Every time you are doing something and run out of power, you will be sorry that you got the 4710. And unless you are doing nothing on your property, you will run out of power.

What are you going to do with the tractor? 80 acres is just the size. Maintaining forest will be a lot different from mowing pastures, feeding large bales, or tilling.

Snow removal, firewood, food plots, hobby farm stuff (pet animals, goats, pigs, mini donkey etc.), maintaining 2 tracks. Also have about 30 acres I'd like to turn back in to workable fields so some small tree/stump removal. Plowing back flat (was furrow plowed 30 plus years ago) Soil is light and sandy with a fair amount of rocks.

So it appears they are the same size and weight physically. So the places that the HP difference will show are PTO driven implements potentially and ground engaging implements like a plow or disc. Using a loader any difference will be very minimal. You will be limited by traction and weight before the HP makes a difference. So you can basically do everything with the 4710 that you can with the 6010 but maybe not as easily. If you are short on time because of work demands etc. then the extra HP could pay dividends. With no idea where you are the availability of used implements could help sway the scale one way or the other. Are there other brand options available in your area? What about the used tractor market? Just putting some ideas out there.

There's TYM and Kubato in the same town. Kioti dealer also does Case IH Ag. West Michigan.

This is going to be a retirement toy so being short on time doesn't really seem like it will be an issue. (Hopefully :) )

Used market is OK, but 95 percent are non-cab and I plan to get a cab.

Kioti turbos a 1.8liter 3-cylinder engine to 60hp. Kubota MX6000 series turbos a 2.4liter 4-cylinder engine to 60hp.
Kubota M6060 series turbos a 3.3liter 4 cylinder to 60hp. Kubota M5660 turbos a 2.4liter4-cylinder engine to 56hp.
There are several reports I read of Kioti turbo failures, and particles going through engine. Dealers and Kioti would not stand behind their product. Customer/Owner had to pay cost of repairs. Also, I own a small Kioti, and a neighbor has a CK2610 both of which have been good tractors. I'm looking at a 8/8, 12/12 power reverser or hydro tractor now and wrote Kioti off due to the in my opinion undersized engine displacement and over blown engines which are not known for longevity. Still a fan of Kioti, but am looking now only at Kubota and Massey. Deere due their corporation decision to not embrace SSQA ruled them out for me.
There are also incidences of Kubota fuel rail failures, and the owner had to pay that out of pocket also. $10K.
TYM is worth considering for you.

I bought a new 6010 a couple years ago. Although it was adequate, I sold it within a year a pickup up a slightly used JD 4066R. Never regretted that move. Hands down a better tractor with more features. No issues with parts or dealer support either. In my opinion, nothing compares to JD hydro transmission.

get your self blue tooth headphones. thats what I use to mow with. they drown out a lot of the noise and it automatically switchs to the next sonk. it takes a SD card like whats in our phones and I have a little over 450 songs recorded on to it from my Generation, the 60's & 70's. charges up with my phone charger.

I have a 4710......would never spend the 6K for a little more power. Reading your intended usage, you will likely never need the extra power. I haven't in basically the same applications. These are good machines. The point mentioned where you will lose traction before needing more power is very accurate. Weight matters far more than power and you're not gaining any extra tractor weight with extra cost. Plus the Kioti has far more loader lift capacity than some of the comparables.

Do you just use this site to shill for your business, or do you bother posting anything else here?

I have a Kioti NX5510 (cab) that I bought new in 2016 and now have over 1,100 hrs w/o a single engine issue. I've had a couple of broken pedal return springs (PITA to replace) and had a couple of things done under warranty (cab leak and rear diff leak). I work the piss out of this thing. 40 acres involving clearing (7' box blade used to do my 2,100' fence lines), shuttling pallets of firewood, lots of mowing (6' brush hog and 7' flail) and grappling (tree trunks etc.). After ten years it is I that am failing (well, not physically, I'm just selling my property and getting away from all the work) and not the tractor.

LIFT CAPACITY is something to focus on.

IF you're going to be spending lots of time with the tractor it might be advisable to get a cab (I was swayed to do so by folks on this forum- and glad that I went with their input). My tractor sits outside and a cab keeps everything dry. Cabs mitigate bugs, heat, rain, noise from PTO gear and getting slapped by brushy stuff (I have LOTS of blackberries).
