i purchased a DK55 cab nearly 2 years ago. i have just under 600 hours on the machine. i'm using it for haying, cultivating, logging.. we have a big farm, so the machine gets used on every chore imaginable.
i have had the following issues (covered under warranty):
- replaced a pin that connected the shuttle shift rod (a $.25 part)
- replaced the door handle assembly (it was sticking, some WD40 fixed it, but the dealer put in a new spring assembly)
- replaced one of the rear lights (turned out to be a bulb, but the dealer replaced the entire unit)
the loader that is matched with the DK55 (the KL1595) is notorious for weak rollback angle. frankly, i've learned to live with it, but would like to have a wider rollback angle.
i really don't have any complaints - if you can spring for the cab model, i strongly suggest it. last year was the first time i cut hay with a cab - and i'm NEVER going to cut hay again without a cab tractor..
as you pointed out, the feature list for the tractor is very good. i tested 4 different tractors and settled on the Kioti because i felt it was the best value for the $ and would do everything i asked of it.
