2006 Kioti DK45S
I have a 2006 DK45S. The right engine compartment panel fell off the tractor while using my rotary cutter. I managed to stop before it became minced junk but the rear wheel clipped the front corner and bent one of the clips that hold it in place to a 1/4" post on the frame. I called the dealer and they said the parts catalogue doesn't show it separate. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement clip, there are two on each side (front and rear). I really don't want to pay $200 bucks for a new panel because the clip broke.

I don't see it in the parts breakout either. Maybe it's something Kioti can supply by special request but a dealer would probably need to ask for it. Maybe a local metal shop can make a copy of the unbent clip from the other side? In the meantime I don't see a problem running without the side panel.

Thanks for your suggestion and I have been leaving them off. The problem is we have a lot of thick privy or progressive hedges in MS and their limbs invade the engine compartment while cutting. I recently replaced the 'plastic' fan blade because of that, needless to say I don't need that experience again. Thinking about using a plastic cable tie to hold it in place until I can find a clip. Anyway, I can't be the first to brake one of these clips.

The PO of my tractor bent the living bejeezus out of the LH side cover. I had the choice of buying new at about $350 or straightening out the twisted wreckage. If you can't yourself, maybe a body shop can help you. They can probably fab some clips if need be. I was able to get mine pretty close to original. At least it stays in place. It will never be pretty.

Thanks o2batsea, I was able to reengineer the mess by moving the front clip to back position. After I applied a couple wraps of electrical tape to the middle of the 'bar' I removed from the rear (both tangs broke off trying to straighten them) I mounted it on top of the spacers in the front. Then placed two large plastic ties partially cinched around the bar. After positioning the rear pin and clip, I looped the ties around the front 1/4" pin and pulled the ties tight. It is just a field repair but it seems to work nicely. If anyone finds a part number for these clips please let me know. Thanks
