G'day Donni,

Vegemite is simply a great Aussie icon, Mate. Every Aussie kid was brought up on it. It's used mostly as a spead on toast for breakkie.

Vegemite is responsible for giving us a second national song - the "Happy Little Vegemites" jingle and it continues to put a rose in every Aussie patriotic cheek.

It's just an Aussie thing and when I go back to Europe in April, I will take enough jars to last me 8 or 9 months.

Do you know about Radio Australia and Radio New Zealand International? You can listen to both on the net, but I have to say it has a much better feel if you're pulling it out of mid air. You'll need a shortwave receiver and a willingness to get up at some God awful times to do that though.
